👋 Hey, I’m Olivia and I'm here to help you tell your story.
Before I go any further, it has been my passion to honor and preserve the ocean for as long as I can remember. Recently, I have begun exploring how I can use storytelling and communication to inspire people to conserve the natural world.
For the past 4 years, I have used my skills in communication and storytelling to captivate people and inspire action.
In my current job, I use my skillset in telling stories on a daily basis. That expertise in written communication has helped kickstart the startup for which I work by increasing its SEO visibility significantly within my first 4 months on the job.
More importantly, though, I am a life-long learner. Through an intense year-long experience at Praxis, a business apprenticeship program, I have greatly expanded my knowledge of how to learn quickly and add value wherever I work.
Both inside my work and within independent projects I am continuing to explore storytelling, marketing, and communications by reading books, building websites, interviewing experts, and creating videos.
Below are some projects and portfolios that I have compiled related to the primary duties and responsibilities that this role requires.
Project Management and Coordination
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Led a collaborative effort between internal sales and marketing teams to develop and implement a strategic approach to content creation to increase SEO visibility ensuring seamless communication, task delegation, and timely delivery.

Storytelling
Digital Storytelling:
Created a compelling digital narrative strategy, integrating multimedia elements (interactive visuals and immersive content) and improving search optimization, which resulted in an enhanced user experience and strengthened connection with the brand's narrative.

Content Development and Production
Video Production:
Developed a creative brief and shot list for a video project highlighting the conservation initiatives of the Houston Zoo. This resulted in a visually engaging and informative video that effectively conveyed the message of the Houston Zoo.
Video Production:
Edited and produced 2 World Oceans Day videos for social media and to be shared with company partners. The goal of these videos was to increase awareness around the work of the Waitt Institute (and the Blue Prosperity Coalition) and inspire a communal effort around ocean conservation.
Design Initiative:
Took the lead in developing several on-brand infographics, social posts, web pages, and videos to improve brand awareness and build a content structure to enhance user engagement and navigation.
